Met rasse schreden gaan we nu richting dé Kroningsweek van 2 tot en met 9 juli. Zondag is het al Pasen. Nog geen 14 dagen later op 22 april is er de Dag voor de Uitgeweken Tongenaren. Ken je Uitgeweken Tongenaren informeer hen hierover. Zaterdag 6 mei is het Kronings-openingsconcert waar o.a. het themalied voor het eerst zal worden uitgevoerd. Je kan nog inschrijven voor de workshop Mariahuisjes van 6 mei. Ben jij één van de mannen die een Kroningsbaard laat staan, lees dan zeker het laatste bericht. Zaterdag 22 april organiseren wij de “Dag van de Uitgeweken Tongenaren” naar aanleiding van de Kroningsfeesten 2023. Op deze dag willen wij u meer vertellen over de stand van zaken ivm de voorbereiding van de Kroning 2023 én willen wij u het nieuwe Tongeren laten zien. May 6 Opening Concert Kroningsfeesten

Saturday evening, May 6, at 8 p.m. in Our Lady of the Basilica, the opening concert of the 19th edition of the seven-yearly Kroningsfeesten will take place. During this concert there will be the world creation of the Coronation Song "Oh Mary, dear lady" which was specially written in the context of the theme of this Kroningsfeesten : #Search connection. “Wôïet?” drieduizend euro !
|
|
|
|
Roger Swerts vulde driemaal het cultureel centrum De Velinx met zijn show 'Wôïet?' Ondersteund door 7 topmuzikanten bracht hij nieuwe liederen en conferences maar ook de onverslijtbare klassiekers die hij vroeger met Dë Bjètels aan het Tongers cultureel erfgoed toevoegde. Roger beloofde dat de opbrengst ten voordele zou zijn voor de Kroning en hij hield meer dan woord. Maandag 27 maart stond hij met een “reuzecheque” aan het Kroningssecretariaat. Dankjewel Roger !

Kroningsjongerendag 5 & 6 juli
|
|
|
|
De kroning is er zowel voor jong als oud. Toch is er één dag in de kroningsweek die we speciaal willen beleven samen met jongeren van Tongeren, Limburg en daarbuiten.

Kroningscomité ontving het Euregiocomité
|

Als voorzitter van het Euregiocomité zevenjaarlijkse feesten, ontving het Tongers Kroningscomité op 25 maart afgevaardigden van de comités van de zevenjaarlijkse feesten van Maastricht, Susteren en Hasselt. Aken was verontschuldigd. De leden van het Euregiocomité stelden vast dat de Tongenaren

Maria houses project : do you participate ?

Tongres graffiti artist Flipka (Philippe Vroonen), together with enthusiastic Tongres, wants to realize the project Mary's Houses as part of the Coronation theme #Search connection. Central to the project is a temporary chapel made from reclaimed materials. On Saturdays April 29 and May 6 in the afternoon, there will be a workshop at the chapel for 20 people each. Net zoals 7 jaar geleden plant de Tongerse portretfotograaf Bert Daenen een expo over de Tongerse Kroningsbaarden, ‘barba coronium’.
