Welcome bij onze 10de Kroningsnieuwsbrief. Deze verschijnt niet toevallig in de week van 3 tot 10 juli. Met andere woorden we zitten nu op iets minder dan één jaar van de Kroningsweek van 2 tot 9 juli 2023. Het gaat snel. In deze nieuwsbrief zal je merken dat de Kroningsvoorbereidingen alsmaar concreter worden. De promotie voor de Kroning richt zich vanaf nu meer en meer op buiten Groot-Tongeren. De sociale media kan hierin een rol spelen. Hierbij rekenen we ook op u om onze berichten te delen en zo mee ambassadeur te zijn van het feest waar elke Groot-Tongenaar zeven jaren naar uitkijkt.

The new Coronation flag(s)

A new Coronation year presupposes a new Coronation Flag. That is the Tongan tradition! The Coronation Flag 2023 is a gem. It is a flag in which Mary, in connection with the Child Jesus, takes center stage. Actually, we can offer you three flags to line the Greater Tongres streets and squares.

Tour Processionary statue in deanery of Tongeren

A few years ago the deanery of Tongeren expanded. In addition to Greater Tongeren, the deanery now includes : Hoeselt, Bilzen, Riemst and Voeren. We would also like to involve the residents of these municipalities in the Kroningsfeesten. Therefore, this fall there will be a tour with the Procession statue of Our Lady Cause of Our Joy along the Sunday churches of the above mentioned communities. Herewith the calendar for the procession in the Sunday churches of the deanery of Tongeren.

De eerste weken van de maand mei werd het Kroningsmagazine 2 door meer dan 140 vrijwilligers bedeeld in Groot-Tongeren. Deze vrijwilligers werden op 21 april uitgenodigd voor een dankmoment. Dat mag wel, want zij hebben zich geëngageerd om alle 6 Kroningsmagazines te bedelen in Groot-Tongeren. Op de bijeenkomst van april kregen ze allemaal een fluovestje om op een veilige wijze de magazines te kunnen bedelen. Op deze fluovestjes staat ook het Kroningslogo. Zo kunnen ze ook nog reclame maken voor de Kroning. Top toch ! Mocht je het
