The summer vacation is over. The time goes fast. If you want to reminisce, be sure to visit the Difoto exhibition and you can attend 1 of the 3 film screenings of the evening play. In this newsletter we also look ahead to the closing of the Coronation Year 2023. We invite everyone to join the Procession of Light and place a candle an window or door. That Saturday there will also be a daytime pilgrimage to the Cause of Our Joy. However, our newsletter begins with how to give flowers a second life. Enjoy watching and reading.

Procession of light : Put a candle in front of your window or door
|
|
|
During the Procession of Light, we would like to
once together give expression to our coronation theme 1TP6Search connection. Each of us has our own reason for participating or going to Mary. Therefore, we would like to ask you to express your intentions on September 23 by placing one or more (LED) candle(s) at your window or front door. In this way we will not only create a course for the light procession, but also express support for each other: #seek connection.

September 23 Light procession : will you step with us ?

ANYONE, including those who were not participants during the month of July, are invited to participate in the Procession of Light in regular attire with a candle. Here you will find in table the order and gathering places. For some groups it also says, in which part of Tongeren they mainly recruited, so you know where you can find your parish, neighborhood or village colleagues. The most important thing, however, is that we march together in communion with one another.

Will you become a Friend of Coronation 2030?
|
|
|
|
Organizing Kroningsfeesten is only possible when many people join hands. There is also a need for sufficient financial resources. This is why the Coronation Committee started the "Friends of the Coronation" a few Coronation editions ago. Under the motto "many little ones make one big" we invite everyone to join the "Friends of the Coronation 2030". Joining can be done by depositing a minimum of 7 euros per month. 7 euros per month is

Pilgrimage to Tongeren : Sept. 23
|
|
|
|
On the last Saturday of May, there are annual pilgrimages to the "Cause of Our Joy" in Tongeren. Except in a Coronation year, then this pilgrimage takes place on the closing day of the Kroningsfeesten. This year, Sept. 23. That day you can participate in the Jeker valley pilgrimage or the partner walk "Tongeren at its most beautiful."

DIFOTO : Coronation Exhibition
|
|
|
|
Photoclub DIFOTO's exhibition "7 annual portraits" will take place in the Ursula - Chapel. The opening hours are from 1 to 6 p.m. and this on Saturday 16, Sunday 17, Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September. Already months before the coronation processions take place the preparations start and you see a lot of men who are "growing" for a decent beard during the Coronation Week. Well that coronation atmosphere the photographers want to show through typical portraits at this exhibition. Be sure to come and see if yourself, a family member or an acquaintance is hanging there. Coronation Remembrance : USB Procession + evening game
|
|
|
|
This edition also features a Coronation film about the procession as well as the evening game. The filming took place on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Carrier of the film this time is a USB stick so that the Coronation film can be played on TV as well as on PC or tablet. You can buy this Coronation film at the Coronation Secretariat, but also via our webshop or by bank transfer.
